In some cases, it is possible that the built-in Network Interface Card (Ethernet or Wireless network adapter) of a machine, isn’t supported by the Blancco Drive Eraser (Blancco 5.5.0 and newer releases) has driver support for the WLAN adapters listed below. Note that all of the devices have not been tested in practice, and in problem cases WLAN related settings should also be checked (in addition to the driver support list).

The most common reason for this is that the Blancco Drive Eraser kernel doesn't contain the required driver* to correctly support the NIC or the driver which is being used is a generic driver and does not adequately support the NIC. As a result, the NIC is either not detected or detected but not working.
In the case of an unsupported Network Adapter, we recommend the use of a USB-to-NIC adapter (Ethernet or Wireless) as a workaround.
