Instructions for creating a License Entitlement on the the Blancco Management Portal.
Step by step instructions
Blancco Management Portal-licenses can be transferred to HASP-key licenses and activated to a HASP Key.
Entitlement creation has the following restrictions:
- Entitlement management must be activated by Blancco Support.
- The licenses will be reduced from the Blancco Management Portal account when entitlement is created.
- The user must have a ”Manager” role in the Blancco Management Portal.
Entitlements can be created by navigating to the Management tab and then to Licenses and then to License key generation. This view is used to manage license keys, HASP activation keys and HASP keys.
Under License key generation there are two options:
- HASP activation keys
- HASP keys
The HASP activation keys option will display a list of HASP activation keys listed.
If the edit-icon at the beginning of the line is clicked (⋮), it opens up the editing window in which the user can edit the entitlement's information. What information can be edited depends on the user's rights.
At the top of the list there is the number of listed entitlements issued and the date of the last synchronization. If the "Sync now" link is clicked, then the entitlement list is force synced from the database.
The information in the HASP activation keys table contains the following information.

To create a new entitlement, under the HASP activation keys view, click the Add Entitlement button. A window will open that will allow you to choose the type of activation that you wish to create, choose the HASP-key update option for a physical HASP and Softlock update for a software container that might be in a virtual environment. You can add a description of what the licenses will be used for and you can then add the required type and number of licenses at the bottom. If required, more than one license type can be added at the same time.
After completing your choices, click the Create button and after a short time you will see the following message:
A new entry will now appear in the list of HASP activation keys, and an email will be sent to the Profile Account. The profile account email can be viewed by clicking on the Account Name at the top right hand side of the Blancco Management Portal.
Once you have received the email, you can follow the process for EMS Activation to a HASP Key.
