Drive Eraser 6.13.0 or newer is capable of booting and running erasure on Apple T2 devices. Booting these devices may require additional steps such as allowing the device to boot from external medias.
Follow below steps in order to boot Apple device with T2 chip:
Change External Boot to “Allow booting from external media”.
Note! If the device was reset to factory settings, device activation needs to be completed in order to have administrator access to the device. |
Note 1: When testing a MacBookPro16,1 (from late 2019), the booting succeeds approximately in 2 out of 3 attempts, the rest of the time the machine will reboot itself and you will have to repeat the step 6. |
Note 2: During our tests, there were some fringe cases where the machine was fully booted (fans working) but the UI was not shown at all (black screen). If your machine shows a similar behavor consistently, it can be erased via the automatic erasure process or be remotely controlled from Blancco Management Console. |
