## **New Product Beta — Happy Path Testing Guide**

*A 20-30 minute walkthrough — try it, tell us how it went*

Thanks for testing Blancco's new Asset Recovery capabilities. This Beta is focused on creating a central system of record for asset disposition, with integration-driven visibility across the lifecycle, stronger chain of custody and compliance proof, risk assessment with guided remediation, and erasure probability intelligence to help teams understand whether—and how easily—a device can be erased before taking action. This guide walks you through the main path. In the upcoming releases, we will expand into AI cosmetic grading, marketplace intelligence, cost optimization recommendations, standardized disposition decisions, and ESG reporting.

## **What You'll Test Today**

- Import assets through a seamless manifest and import/export process.
- Organize your disposition projects with manifest files and folders.
- Check an asset's risk profile.
- Check erasability — how long an asset will take to erase, and whether Blancco can erase it.
- Standardized grading — grade sample devices and validate consistency across sites (New in Beta).

Total time: about 20-30 minutes. You don't need to do these in one sitting.

## **Step 1: Import Your Assets**

Instead of a spreadsheet format that varies by site, bring assets in through CSV import/export process.

1. Import via CSV
2. Confirm the data came through consistently, with nothing missing or mis-mapped.

**Success looks like: **Your assets are in the system in one consistent format

## **Step 2: Organize With Manifest Files & Folders**

Create a File and folders let you organize your disposition.

1. Create a folder structure that matches how you organize disposition today (by site, customer, batch, or however makes sense).
2. Create a manifest file
3. Confirm you can find it again easily.

**Success looks like: **You have a logical, organized structure for your disposition projects

## **Step 3: Check an Asset's Risk & History**

See an asset's risk profile and its full history as a device, in one place.

1. Pick a real asset from your manifest.
2. View its risk profile.
3. View its full asset history.

**Success looks like: **You get a clear picture of that asset's risk and history without cross-referencing multiple systems.

## **Step 4: Check Erasability**

Before you commit to a device, know whether Blancco can erase it and roughly how long it will take.

1. Locate the reusability columns in the file you created
2. Note the estimated erasure time and whether Blancco can erase the device.

**Success looks like: **You know upfront whether Blancco can erase the device and about how long it will take, before you commit resources to it.

## **Step 5: Standardized Grading (New in Beta)**

See how Blancco applies a consistent, repeatable grade to a device — regardless of who runs the check or where.

1. Turn on Smart Grading
2. After Diagnostic run on the device review grading
3. Compare grades against current internal processes.
4. Validate grading standards.

**Success looks like: **The same device receives consistent grading regardless of operator or location.
