Coming into effect from January 2019, Oracle will now start charging users of the Java software, this will start to impact access to future releases of Java SE from Oracle for corporate users.

The Blancco Management Console supports both Oracle Java and Open JDK, you may use either the Open JDK or the Oracle Java SE version which may require a licensing fee starting from January 2019.

In the case that you do not wish to use the licensing fee version, the Open JDK would be a viable alternative to Oracle Java SE.
