Blancco Drive Eraser contains its own Operating System. The software itself is booted by using USB or CD. There is no need to have any OS pre-installed on target machine (i.e Windows, Linux). Note that Blancco Drive Eraser erases the computer's hard drive(s) and leaves no data behind.
