Problem

Booting Blancco Drive Eraser fails on HP Z4 G4 devices when the screen turns black and the device shuts itself down.

Cause

The issue seems to be caused by some incompatibility between the Drive Eraser and UEFI boot mode of this device.

HP Z4 G4デバイスでBlancco Drive Eraserの起動に失敗する。画面が暗転し自動的にシャットダウンしてしまう。

原因

この問題はDrive EraserとデバイスのUEFIブートモードとの互換性に起因する可能性があります。

解決策

Drive Eraserを起動するため、BIOSでブートオプションをUEFIからLegacyに変更し、さらに「詳細設定 / セキュアブートの構成」にある「レガシーサポートおよびセキュアブート (Legacy Support and Secure Boot) 」を「無効 (Disable) 」にしてください。In order to boot the Drive Eraser successfully, within the BIOS change the boot option from UEFI to Legacy and change "Legacy Support and Secure Boot" to "disable" under the "Advanced / Secure Boot Configuration" settings.
