Depending on the firmware commands supported by the drive, the Blancco SSD Erasure standard in Blancco Drive Eraser software is compliant with NIST Purge or Clear method ドライブでサポートされるファームウェアコマンドにより、Blancco SSD ErasureソフトウェアのBlancco SSD Erasure消去規格はNIST Purge、あるいはNIST Clearの消去方式に準拠しています (NIST SP 800-88 R1, Guidelines for Media Sanitization) :

•    On newer SSDs supporting the Sanitize commands (required to meet the NIST Purge-level erasure), “Blancco SSD Erasure” is fully compliant with the Purge-level erasure as defined by NIST. “Blancco SSD Erasure” exceeds the NIST Purge recommendations.

•    On older SSDs not supporting the Sanitize commands (but supporting older commands such as Secure Erase), “Blancco SSD Erasure” is fully compliant with the Clear-level erasure as defined by NIST and “Blancco SSD Erasure” exceeds the NIST Clear recommendations.

• Sanitizeコマンド (NIST Purgeレベルの消去に必要) をサポートする最近のSSDの場合、「Blancco SSD Erasure」はNISTが定義するPurgeレベル消去に準拠します。ただし、NISTの定義より多くの処理を行うため達成されるセキュリティはNIST Purge基準を超えます。
