Windowsシステムが読み取りおよび書き込み権限でテープドライブにアクセスできる場合、Blancco File Eraserはテープドライブに格納されているファイルにもアクセスして消去することができます。

テープドライブは通常のドライブほど安全ではなく、理論的には古い情報の痕跡がテープに残っている可能性があることに注意してください。テープドライブが同じ組織内で再利用されている場合は上書きによるデータ消去は有効な手法ですが、機密情報を含むテープを廃棄する場合には、消磁することをお勧めします。

If a windows system can access the tape drive with read and write access, Blancco File Eraser can also access and erase files stored in tape drive.

Note that tape drives are not as safe as normal drives and there is theoretical possibility that traces of old information remain on tape. An overwrite will create a good protection and especially if the tape drives are being reused in the same organization. For decommissioning of tapes with sensitive information we recommend using degaussing.
