Android 5.1以降のすべてのデバイスには端末保護またはファクトリーリセット保護 (Factory Reset Protection: FRP) と呼ばれる新しいセキュリティ機能があり、デバイスにGoogleアカウントを作成することで有効になります。この機能は、紛失または盗難時の不正アクセスからの保護、ファクトリーリセット後の再利用防止を目的としています (再利用にはGoogleアカウント資格情報の入力が必須) 。
保護機能が有効になっている場合は、デバイスにアクセスすることができないため、BMDEでデバイスを消去することもできません。デバイスのロックを解除するには、前の所有者のGoogleアカウント資格情報を入力する必要があります。
保護機能が有効なデバイスに対し、BMDEは以下のスクリーンショットのようにアカウントの削除を促します。
All devices starting from Android 5.1 have a new security feature: device protection a.k.a. factory reset protection a.k.a "kill switch". It is meant to protect the phone from unauthorized access (phone lost or stolen). Device protection is enabled by setting screen lock and creating a Google account in the device.
If device protection is enabled, it will be not be possible to access the device, and thus it will not be possible to erase the device with Blancco 5 Mobile. Device can by unlocked by providing the Google account credentials of the previous owner.
