Usually the reason is that the iOS version information is too old and the erasure is attempted with an unsupported iOS version. Apple usually signs only the two latest iOS versions and erasure with any older iOS version is not possible.

In this case, the device icon goes to "Requires attention" status and there is a pop-up "New version information required" with options to download new version information ("Download now") or stop erasure ("Stop"). The "Download now" option is recommended in this case.

Version information is automatically after the configured time period (Settings > iOS > Automatically update version information…), but can also be done manually by selecting Settings > iOS > Download now > Update nowIn der Regel liegt der Grund darin, dass die iOS-Versionsinformationen zu alt sind und das Löschen mit einer nicht unterstützten iOS-Version versucht wird. Apple signiert in der Regel nur die beiden neuesten iOS-Versionen und das Löschen mit älteren iOS-Versionen ist nicht möglich.

In diesem Fall wechselt das Gerätesymbol in den Status "Aufmerksamkeit erforderlich " und es erscheint ein Popup-Fenster "Neue Versionsinformationen erforderlich" mit Optionen zum Herunterladen neuer Versionsinformationen ("Jetzt herunterladen") oder zum Beenden des Löschvorgangs ("Stopp"). Die Option "Jetzt herunterladen" wird in diesem Fall empfohlen.

Versionsinformationen sind automatisch nach dem konfigurierten Zeitraum (Einstellungen> iOS> Versionsinformationen automatisch aktualisieren ...), können aber auch manuell vorgenommen werden, indem Sie Einstellungen> iOS> Jetzt herunterladen> Jetzt aktualisieren auswählen.
