How does the diagnostics test for Wi-Fi work?

The Wi-Fi test tries to open a web page using Wi-Fi connection. If the web page can be opened, the tests passes.

On Android, the Wi-Fi test connects automatically to an open Wi-Fi network. On iOS, it is required that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network before running the test.
