If the displayed GUI appears white and broken after Blancco Drive Eraser has booted, it can be due to the machine's RAM being fully consumed. One way to proceed is to reboot, go to the BIOS settings and lower the memory assigned to the graphical card. Blancco Drive Eraser's GUI should be displayed correctly afterwards. In some occasions, the GUI may appear too big for the screen but it is still workable.

Other considerations when using Blancco Drive Eraser on machines with low RAM:

  • Once the GUI has loaded, if the machine has more than 1 drive, erasing 1 drive at a time is safer.
  • Do not run the Hardware tests or the Hexviewer during the erasure. Either run them before or after the erasure.

  • No labels
