Apple released iOS version 14.2 on November 5th. Currently, Blancco Mobile Diagnostics and Erasure (BMDE) is not fully compatible with iOS 14.2 in respect to the erasure process.

In order to process iOS devices, please make sure that BMDE will download iOS 14.1 by following the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to Login Screen > Settings > Synchronization Service.
    1. If Synchronization Service is disabled you should only see a dropdown menu to select "version.xml source".
    2. If Synchronization Service is enabled, you can manage this settings from your "server" machine, under the "Firmware DL Settings".
  2. Make sure to select "Blancco" as an version.xml source.
  3. Login to the system.
  4. Go to Settings > iOS > Update Apple firmware version information manually > click "Update now".

After these steps you should be able to process iOS devices successfully.

We are planning to release BMDE 4.5.1 fix release later this week, which will include the official support for the iOS 14.2. This new post will be updated accordingly after the BMDE 4.5.1 has been released.

For any further questions, please submit a new support ticket through the Support Portal.
