Blancco Drive Eraser (and Blancco 5) have their own Operating System. The erasure software itself is booted by using USB or CD. There is no need to have any OS installed on target machine (i.e Windows, Linux). Please refer to Drive Eraser user manual's "Minimum System Requirements" to see all system requirements for running Blancco Drive Eraser.
Note! Blancco Drive Eraser erases the computer's hard drive(s) and leaves no data behind. If you want to start using the computer again, a new operating system has to be installed.
