BMDE on Mac 4.10.2 - Release notes

Fixes:

  • Resolved issues related to some Apple Configurator changes.
    • This release also improves stability.

Known issues:

  • We currently do not have an automated way to report activation lock status on M1/T2 machines.
    • For now it is suggested to create a workflow which asks the operator to answer whether the device ended process in the ”RecoveryAssistant” mode or on the ”Hello Screen.”
    • If the device ends at ”RecoveryAssistant,” then the device has ”Find My Mac” activated.
    • If the devices ends at ”Hello Screen,” then the device doesn’t have ”Find My Mac” activated.
  • Power saver/sleep features should be disabled from the system if erasures are left running unattended.
    • Otherwise unexpected disconnections and related erasure failures and long erasure times can occur.
  • Keyboard navigation in MacOS Keyboard settings should be enabled to use any keyboard control on BMDE Mac 4.10.
  • SIP (System Integrity Protection) disabled (See Manual for more info regarding SIP).
  • Can process Apple iOS erasure/Overwrite/Purge simultaneously maximum 16 iOS devices.
    • If limit is exceeded erasures can fail with "Apple configuration error" or failing USB bus error.
    • Also M1 Mac mini can encounter kernel panic with device overload and restart the system.
