Mobile Diagnostics and Erasure 4.12.1 - Release notes

This is a fix release to handle the recently released iOS16. We recommend everyone to update as soon as possible if handling Apple devices. Version xml updates will likely come early during the week of September 19th depending on what Apple decides to do. Current 4.12 will not work with iOS16. Once Apple decides not to sign older versions anymore, reflashing of iPhones 8 and newer will stop working with 4.12. iPhone 6s & 7 will not upgrade to iOS16 so those will stay on iOS 15.7.

  • Diagnostics Auto-Launch is not supported for devices running iOS16 due to changes made by Apple in iOS16 which require feature refactoring.
