ほとんどの場合、iOSバージョン情報が古くなったためにApple社のサポートが終了したiOSを使って消去を試みているのが原因です。Apple社は通常、直近の2つのiOSバージョンのみに署名し、それよりも古いiOSバージョンを使用して消去することはできません。

このような場合、デバイスのアイコンは「要注意」ステータスになり、ポップアップに「新しいバージョン情報が必要です」のメッセージが表示されます。メッセージと同時に新しいバージョン情報をダウンロードするオプション（「今すぐダウンロード」）と消去を停止するオプション（「停止」）が表示されます。この場合は「今すぐダウンロード」オプションをお勧めします。

バージョン情報は、設定された期間（設定 > iOS > バージョン情報を自動的に更新...）の経過後に自動的に取得されますが、設定 > iOS > 今すぐダウンロード > 今すぐアップデート を選択して手動で行うこともできます。

Usually the reason is that the iOS version information is too old and the erasure is attempted with an unsupported iOS version. Apple usually signs only the two latest iOS versions and erasure with any older iOS version is not possible.

In this case, the device icon goes to "Requires attention" status and there is a pop-up "New version information required" with options to download new version information ("Download now") or stop erasure ("Stop"). The "Download now" option is recommended in this case.

Version information is automatically after the configured time period (Settings > iOS > Automatically update version information…), but can also be done manually by selecting Settings > iOS > Download now > Update now.
