Blancco Drive Eraser, Blancco Mobile Device Eraser and Blancco File Eraser require an Internet connection.
- Blancco Drive Eraser requires the Internet connection for starting the erasure process. Before the erasure can be started, the user needs to type in the provided user name and password (Settings tab), and a purchased license is consumed from the account (1 license per each connected hard drive). Ethernet cable connection is recommended. After the erasure, the erasure report can be sent to Internet based Blancco database, and the report can viewed by logging in at Blancco Cloud.
- Blancco Mobile Device Eraser requires the Internet connection for starting the erasure process and also for iOS device erasures. When an erasure is started a license is consumed from the account (1 license per each connected mobile device). Ethernet cable connection is recommended.
- Blancco File Eraser requires an Internet connection for license activation (wireless connection can be used). Without the activation, Blancco File Eraser can be used only for 10 days. More information about File Eraser activation can be found from this article.
